RIKEN Center for Computational Science (R-CCS, Director: Dr. Satoshi Matsuoka) is operating the world's leading K computer, and also has strong research teams. R-CCS takes the lead in advancing the computational science in Japan and aims to be an international center of excellence for computational science in collaboration with a wide range of research organizations. R-CCS integrates the computer science and computational science to conduct most advanced research and development of a wide range of applied scientific computation, as well as of high performance computing technologies. R-CCS has been conducting the development of the next generation flagship supercomputer of Japan (the successor of the K computer) since 2014.
The Field Theory Research Team will perform the first principles calculations of fundamental theories of particles on supercomputers and investigate microscopic low of the nature, which would lead to the understanding of the evolution of the universe and matter creation in it. For these purposes the team will conduct following research agenda in the elementary particle, hadron physics and related fields:
･Research and development of large-scale computational methods and codes
･Research and development of analysis methods for large scale data
･Solving various problems in the elementary particle physics through large scale numerical computations

We are seeking for researchers who can engage in multiple topics from:
1.Analyses with numerical computations based on the lattice gauge theory (nonzero/zero temperature).
2.Research and development of codes for the numerical computations.
3.Research and development of new computational methods, algorithms and analysis procedures in elementary particle physics
