At the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Vienna the position of a

University Professor
of
Demography

(part time 50 percent, limited to a period of 5 years ) is to be filled.

Applicants should cover the core of demography in all its key dimensions with a particular emphasis on population dynamics and its drivers and consequences. Applicants should be internationally highly recognized, senior scholars in demography with cutting-edge contributions to both demographic methodology and the interactions of demographic changes with social, economic and environmental changes. Candidates should have proven research excellence as documented by an ERC Advanced Grant or equivalent. A focus on internationally comparative and global level demographic analysis is welcome. Extensive teaching experience in demography is required, including supervision of doctoral students.
