Center for Low-temperature Plasma Sciences (cLPS) in Nagoya University is leading the world in the Plasma Life science. We aim to elucidate the molecular mechanisms of biological phenomena such as cell death, proliferation, and differentiation by active substances induced by low temperature plasma. Based on the results, we also aim to create innovations that contribute to the application of low-temperature plasma in medicine and agriculture, and innovations that solve intractable diseases and food shortages. The center is currently recruiting a designated assistant professor who works with the following content with the member of this center.
Researches of interaction of low-temperature plasma with organic compounds and metabolomic analysis of the plasma-activated biological cells for plasma medicine and/or plasma agriculture fields. Comprehensive understanding of plasma-induced organic chemistry with measurements and analyses employing liquid chromatography q-TOF type mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and so on. Maintenance of the LC-MS/MS instrument, data analysis, etc.
