The department of chemistry at Chuo University seeks outstanding applicants for a research scientist in the area of spectroscopy and microscopy, which target the solar cell, inorganic photocatalyst, photo-responsive liquid crystals. The candidate needs to collaborate with Prof K. Katayama.(http://www.chem.chuo-u.ac.jp/~spec/index.htm) The applicants do not have to have an experience in optics, spectroscopy, and microscopy, and a data scientist for the analysis of spectroscopy data will be welcomed too.
The applicant has to teach a teaching lab course for undergraduates, and teach undergraduate and graduate students in Katayama group. Also, there are several tasks defined in the rule of Chuo University. It is preferred that you could communicate with students in Japanese, but it is not mandatory.
