The Specialization in Mechanical Engineering in the Department of Systems Integration at the Graduate School of Engineering, Yokohama National University (YNU) is now inviting applications for an associate professor as a tenure-track faculty position in the field of mechanical engineering. The following is an overview of the position, required qualifications and application procedure:
1. Job title: Tenure-track Associate Professor
2. Job description: Candidate's area of research must be in the following areas of mechanical engineering:
Dynamics of Machinery, Mechanism, and Mechanical Systems
Also, a successful candidate will be expected to participate in undergraduate and graduate educational programs for dynamics of machinery and mechanism. Furthermore, he/she will be expected to participate in some subjects regarding practices and experiments. Alongside educational and research activities, a tenure-track associate professor is also expected to take a role in administrative duties.
3. Start date: April 1st, 2020 or the earliest possible date thereafter
It depends on regulation of a Yokohama National University.
Basic salary is determined in accordance with regulations of YNU. YNU is considering introducing a new salary system. In this position, an employee will contract under an annual salary system.
