Field of research:
Statistical mathematics (theory, methods, and application of statistical science/mathematical science)

Duties and responsibilities
Successful applicants will be engaged in:
(1)Promotion of research in statistical mathematics;
(2)The professional development programs at the School of Statistical Thinking such as Research Collaboration Start-up (consultation), paid lectures open to public, and the weekly research seminar;
(3)Joint research collaboration, the NOE activity, and other activities promoted by the Institute.
In case of being concurrently appointed for a position at the Graduate University for Advanced Studies (SOKENDAI), the applicants will also be involved in academic activities at SOKENDAI.

Salary will be determined on the basis of “annual salary scheme" or “monthly salary scheme" of ROIS and will reflect the candidate's seniority. In general the annual salary scheme will be applied, but the monthly salary scheme will be applied until a new annual salary scheme under consideration is introduced. If employed by a national university corporation or an inter-university research institute corporation etc. in Japan until the day before the adoption date, the current annual salary scheme or monthly salary scheme will continue to apply, but in the future the new annual salary scheme may be applied.

Fixed term of 5 years.

Working hour:9:00-17:30
Holiday: Saturday, Sunday, Holiday
