2. Recruitment Field
(1) Research field:
Materials Physics
(2) Research theme
Basic physics and application of new high-performance heavy element systems
(Summary)
JAEA is promoting research on the physical properties of heavy element materials especially on actinide compounds as the foundation of the next generation nuclear technology. In addition, as a basic technology of the Fukushima nuclear power plant decommissioning, we are also working on the physical property evaluation of debris.
This research theme focuses on the study of electronic physical properties such as superconductivity and magnetism, in order to develop the condensed matter physics, to establish basic principles of new functional materials such as superconducting materials resistant to magnetic fields and radiation resistant spintronic devices, etc. In addition, aiming at the creation of debris science, we will promote the evaluation of simulated and real debris physical properties. Specifically, a candidate is required to pursue the development of pure sample search and development and measurement of advanced electronic properties.
With regard to the above-mentioned subjects, we will recruit research staff equivalent to associate professors who have sufficient skills and appropriate research (work) career and results to raise research results.
