The Department of Biological Sciences started a course taught in English from April 1, 2015. We seek collaborative colleague who will be actively involved in the operation of the course program and teach two or three of the following lecture courses for undergraduate students: Introductory and/or advanced levels of Biochemistry, Physiology, Genetics, Developmental Biology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Evolutionary Biology, Microbiology, Ecology, and Systematics. A total teaching load including a few lab courses will be 80-100 hrs per academic year.

Annual salary system. Salary will be determined according to the university employment policy. Approximate salary range: JPY6,000,000 - JPY8,000,000 for Associate Professor (commensurate with experience).
A full-time faculty (tenured position)
Appointment does not extend beyond the end of the academic year in which the faculty member attains the retirement age (65).
The successful candidate will be joining one of the following 14 laboratories in the Department of Biological Sciences, depending on his/her interests: Molecular Neuroscience, Developmental Biology, Cellular Genetics, Molecular Genetics, Plant Development and Physiology, Cellular Biochemistry, Evolutionary Genetics, Neurobiology, Plant Environmental Responses, Environmental Microbiology, Animal Ecology, Plant Ecology, Systematic Zoology, and Systematic Botany.
