Division overview / Job description:
The National Institute for Fusion Science conducts the Large Helical Device (LHD) project to prospect a helical fusion reactor and to understand toroidal plasmas comprehensively. The High-Temperature Plasma Physics Research Division, Department of Helical Plasma Research, is in charge of investigation of high temperature plasma physics based on the development of high-accuracy measurement systems.
The prospective candidate is expected to engage in confinement study of high energy particle in the deuterium experiment, based on the development of high-accuracy measurement system. Also, the candidate is expected to make an effort to promote researches aiming at comprehensive understanding of behavior of high energy particles in torus plasma, in the framework of domestic and international collaborative researches. In addition, active commitments to education to younger researchers including students and safety management in deuterium experiments are expected.
