To further implement excellent educational programs and promote high research activities on chemistry in the Applied Molecular Chemistry Course, Faculty of Textile Science and Technology, Shinshu University, we seek an active researcher as an assistant professor, who have research achievements in the field of materials chemistry or related fields from inorganic or physical-chemical approaches. Applicants are limited to female researchers to actively improve the considerably low percentage of women researchers in our faculty in accordance with Equal Employment Opportunity Law.

Materials chemistry or related fields

Teaching responsibilities:
Undergraduate:
1st year students (Matsumoto Campus): Core educational courses.
2nd-4th year students (Ueda Campus): Specialized courses primarily related to inorganic chemistry or physical chemistry, and related fundamental exercise and experiments.
Graduate School: Specialized courses on inorganic chemistry or physical chemistry, and related exercise and experimental classes.

There is one position for female researcher only at the rank of tenure-track assistant professor.

Tenure-track institution is a system under which young researchers can apply for tenure after engaging in academic research and educational activities for a certain period. Candidates will be granted tenure if they are approved to have accrued high qualifications and academic abilities. A successful candidate hired through this recruitment program will be evaluated in the first half of the fifth year. After successfully passing the evaluation, he or she will be hired as a tenured faculty member from the sixth year onward. The evaluation will be based on the individual's achievements in research, education, and administrative activities.
