Kyoto University Institute for Integrated Radiation and Nuclear Science (KURNS) invites applications for an associate professor position, as described below.

KURNS was established for the joint use program among Japanese universities to promote the research and education in the fields of nuclear reactors and related subjects. The Kyoto University research Reactor (KUR) and related research facilities have been used in a wide variety of scientific areas.

The successful candidate is expected to play important roles in research and education on radiation biochemistry. In addition, he/she is expected to open a novel life science at the new research platform of KURNS. Background in protein science and experiences in proteome technology are preferred. Benefits

Term of employment:Full time (tenured)

Business hours:
Discretionary labor system, based on 7 hours, 45 minutes (8:30-17:15 work schedule with a one-hour break) per day, 38 hours 45 minutes per week.
Days off: Saturdays, Sundays, National holidays, Year-end and New Year holidays, Foundation Day, and summer vacation.

Salary and Allowance:
To be determined in accordance with Kyoto University regulations.
