[Explanation of institution (recruitment background, institution details, explanation of project, etc.)]

Miyamoto's laboratory at Kindai University seeks to recruit a postdoctoral associate. The lab is supported by a Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research on Innovative Areas, and participates in the collaborative research group “Program of totipotency: From decoding to designing". This research group aims to understand totipotency, the ability to develop to a complete organism. Especially, Miyamoto's lab tries to reveal the novel nuclear structure of mouse zygotes, and explores new methods to reconstitute totipotent nuclei.

The successful applicant will work at Miyamoto's group in Kindai University (Wakayama campus). Kindai University is one of the largest universities in Japan and has attracted the most undergraduate applicants in the last few years. The lab is equipped with sufficient infrastructure to perform mouse embryo work such as micromanipulators and confocal microscopy for live cell imaging.
