●Background and Concept of the School of Global Humanities and Social Sciences (SGHSS)

Aiming to further foster research in these fields, it subsequently established the Graduate School of Global Humanities and Social Sciences (GSGHSS) in April of 2018. The GSGHSS currently offers an MA program, and plans for a PhD program to be launched in April of 2020 have been submitted for approval to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. More information regarding the SGHSS and the GSGHSS can be found online at http://www.hss.nagasaki-u.ac.jp/. Nagasaki University invites applications from scholars who share the aims and vision of the SGHSS and the GSGHSS. Due to an organizational restructuring that came into effect on 1 April 2019, the selected candidate will be employed at the Nagasaki University Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences (Division of Global Humanities and Social Sciences).
