Division overview / Job description:
The Fusion Theory and Simulation Research Division is conducting the Numerical Simulation Reactor Research Project aiming at the systematization of fusion plasma science and the construction of a numerical helical reactor, which is an integrated simulation system to predict three-dimensional toroidal plasma behaviors over a whole range of scales.
The prospective candidate for the position of associate professor is expected to play a central role in the following researches: (1) research and development of a large-scale simulation code for helical plasmas aiming at the construction of a numerical helical reactor: (2) validation of the simulation code for plasma experiments on the Large Helical Device and other devices, understanding of the physical mechanism of plasma confinement, improvement of the prediction performance for the fusion burning plasmas and the advanced helical plasmas, and contribution to the helical fusion reactor engineering: (3) domestic and international collaborative researches and promotion of the Numerical Simulation Reactor Research Project.
