1.Job description:
Developing novel measurement techniques using characteristics of synchrotron radiation and promoting advanced experimental research using those techniques. A possible candidate will work for maintenance and management of beamlines of UVSOR synchrotron facility and share the work related to the facility use by researchers from domestic and overseas.
Participation in managements of IMS as an inter-university research institute*. Teaching and supervising graduate students as an associate professor of SOKENDAI (The Graduate University for Advanced Studies).

3.Position:
Associate Professor (One position)

4.Expected start date:
On or at the earliest possible date after March 1st, 2020 (JST)

5.Research resources:
(1) The successful candidate will be supported with lab space and start-up budget funded by the director general of IMS.
(2) The successful candidate is expected to serve as a principal investigator of a research group, which consists of one associate professor (this recruit), one assistant professor (to be recruited), and one secretary (shared).

In accordance with the NINS employee compensation regulation.
Working hours: full-time (38.75-hour workweek).
Holiday and vacation: Saturday and Sunday, public holidays. Other compensations such as annual leaves and so on are in accordance with IMS regulations.
