of  asystent (badawczo-dydaktyczny)

The Medical University of Silesia holds the right to terminate the competition proceedings with no candidate selected  without stating a reason.

Winning of the competition does not guarantee employment; it is a recommendation in this regard to the Rector.

The final decision about employment is made by the Rector.

Offer Requirements


article 113 of the Academic Education and Science Act of the 20th July, 2018 (JO  2018, item 1668, as amended)

Specific Requirements

complies with the following requirements:

  • doctoral degree in medical sciences,
  • at least 10-year experience in research work,
  • experience in didactics,
  • scientific publications scoring at least  IF 25,
  • training  in the principles of Good Laboratory Practice,
  • certificate of competence to work as an Internal Auditor of the Laboratory Quality Management System in accordance with  ISO / IEC 17025: 2005, as well as skills in the implementation and supervision of the quality assurance programme within  Good Laboratory Practice,
  • skills in conducting cell cultures, performing cytotoxicity  tests and nucleic acid sequencing (including RNA sequencing using NSG  technique), as well as working with the following techniques: oligonucleotide microarrays, PCR, RT-qPCR, qPCR, PCR-RFLP, ELISA,
  • advanced command of spoken and written English to hold programmes for the students,
  • foreign nationals need to show the command of spoken and written Polish.

A candidate willing to take part in the competition is requested to submit:

  1. a written statement of will expressing the intention to participate in the competition, addressed to the Rector,
  2. curriculum vitae, professional qualifications description and course of employment (if applicable)
  3. personal questionnaire of the applicant seeking employment,
  4. copy of  the diploma (academic diploma),
  5. copies of  other documents to prove the required qualifications,
  6. the statement of consent to process the   personal data,
  7. other relevant documents (list of  publications quoting the IF scores or the Ministry of Science and Higher Education scheme, certificates held, etc.).
