These positions have been allocated in national research projects (CREST) in which adopted staffs are expected to promote the research project with cooperating with our permanent staffs and graduate students.

Content of work is the evaluation of aerospace aluminum alloys. A successful candidate is expected to mainly perform synchrotron experiments at the world largest synchrotron facility called SPring-8. We have been constructed the world largest X-ray microscope available for high X-ray energy imaging. It is effective for high-resolution and high-contrast imaging of structural materials such as aluminium, titanium and steels. A candidate is expected to perform research on the deformation, damage and fracture of aluminium materials by employing the technique established. The researcher will join to synchrotron X-ray microtomography experiments and perform the analyses and evaluation of obtained 3D/4D images with other students and staffs.
Newly found phenomena, which is quasi-spontaneous debonding of particle/aluminium interfaces due to the segregation of hydrogen and so on, would be the main topics of the project.
This project has been adopted as one of the CREST "Nanoscopic mechanics" projects. CREST is the world renowned national research projects in Japan, which has been hosted by the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).
