We invite applications for Specially Appointed Faculty/Researcher positions (Full-time) for our CREST project "Computing Technology Based on Spatiotemporal Dynamics of Photonic Neural Networks" (Research Director: Prof. Hideyuki Suzuki) in JST CREST Research Area "Technology for Computing Revolution for Society 5.0". We expect applications from researchers who can work with innovative ideas towards a new computing paradigm.
Nonlinear science, Neural networks, Machine learning, etc.
Research activities on mathematical models of photonic neural networks.
More specifically, research approaches as exemplified below, but not limited to. We expect successful candidates to take research approaches based on their own expertise.
(1)Development, improvement, and analysis of novel neural network models dedicated to photonic implementation
(2)New information processing and computing paradigm based on nonlinear dynamics

*The Discretionary Labor System, Special Work Type will be applied (deemed working hours: 8 hours a day)

Based on “46. Salary Regulations for National University Corporation Osaka University Limited Term Staff (Specially Appointed Staff, etc.) Subject to Annual Salary System"
Remuneration: (i) 7,537,200 JPY, (ii) 5,605,800-6,086,400 JPY, (iii) 5,125,200-5,605,800 JPY per annum. (Monthly payments of one-twelfth of annual salary)
*The Remuneration will be determined according to the scope and contents of duties the candidate to be engaged in taking his/her qualifications and experience into consideration.
*Bonuses and allowances for commuting, housing, dependency, and retirement are included in the above-mentioned annual salary and will not be paid separately.
Medical insurance and employee's pension insurance of the Federation of National Public Service Personnel Mutual Aid Associations, Employment Insurance and Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance
