[Research Field]
The Center for Biosystems Dynamics Research (BDR) views the functions of molecules, cells, and organs that support all life stages of organisms as a dynamic system, and aims to elucidate developmental, growth and aging phenomena as well as apply their findings to develop regenerative medicine and diagnostics, thereby contributing to the extension of healthy life expectancies.

The Laboratory for Retinal Regeneration is recruiting research employees to carry out a new theme. The research overview of the laboratory is shown below.

In our laboratory, we are aiming to pioneer future retinal regeneration technologies in the dish for patient transplant and in-vivo for personalized new treatments and care. Our reprogramming team is currently developing several strategies to overcome vision loss worldwide for millions of people.

Position-specific tasks are as follows:
Research Scientist: Carry out research and other work in accordance with research themes of the laboratory.

Job Description:
We are now recruiting to expand our cell reprogramming team. Experience in cell reprogramming is not required and can be learned along the way. Our work will require various molecular biology techniques, animal handling, tissue sampling/processing, immunohistology, and extensive data processing. An ideal candidate would have extensive immunohistology and microscopy skills (traditional and confocal), and experience with project/resource management, although some training can be provided internally. The project will involve the integration of numerous lab members with varied skills and this position will be central to managing the overall plans and note/data recording under the guidance and supervision of the reprogramming team head and senior lab members. This position will aid the management of team resources and primary data collection while providing hands-on support for team members when necessary. This position will also require good communication skills. Experience with project/resource management and related fields will be prioritized. English communication skill is required.
