The Earth and Planetary Science Division studies the past, current, and future states of earth environments and their mechanisms through Geology and Geobiology, Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry, Earth and Planetary Physics, and Ecology, and contributes to solve global issues such as environmental problems and natural disasters through Earth Systems Science. Our division educational programs focus on the development of human resources who promote these studies internationally. We seek to employ a person who has made significant achievements in a related field and can promote research and education closely related to at least one of the research fields mentioned above. The applicant is also expected to actively participate in undergraduate research and education in the Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, Faculty of Science, Nagoya University.

◆Department Outline
The Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences consists of the Earth and Planetary Science Division (EPS) and Hydrospheric-Atmospheric Science Division (HAS). The present position is available in the EPS Division, which consists of five separate Groups (or koza): Earth Systems Science, Geology and Geobiology, Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry, Earth and Planetary Physics, and Ecology.
