The Metabolic Engineering Laboratory, Department of Bioinformatic Engineering, Graduate School of Information Science and Technology, Osaka University conducts education and research on metabolic pathway design, metabolic analysis, molecular breeding and bioprocess development for bio-production based on these information. We are now inviting applications for an assistant professor to achieve these objective by integrating bio- and information sciences.

[Job details (duties, subject responsible for, etc.)]
(1)Education:
For Graduate student level: Giving lectures (“Introduction to Bioinformatic Engineering", “Introduction to Integrated Biological and Information Engineering", and “ Integrated Biological and Information Engineering"), conducting seminars, exercises, and offer research guidance on bioinformatic engineering and related areas for master's and doctor's course students in the Department of Bioinformatic Engineering, Graduate School of Information Science and Technology
For Undergraduate student level: Giving lectures on biological statistics with exercise, Instructing computer programming (R language, bioinformatics and statistics tools for undergraduate students in the Division of Applied Sciences (Biotechnology Department) of Faculty of Engineering, Offering research guidance on Biotechnology
(2) Research: Metabolic Engineering and related areas
