Science Curio Webinar Series - Session 1: AI and Blockchain - The Netherlands and India

EURAXESS India in association with Nuffic Neso India and other European partner organisations, namely Innovation Attache of the NetherlandsSwissnex, CNRS and German Consulate Bangalore, presents the first ever “Science Curio Series” which will motivate young Indian researchers and foster collaborative opportunities between companies and education institutes in disciplines like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IOT) and Big data analytics.

This will be a year-long webinar series where each of the European partners will, in an exclusive session, showcase the developments taking place in the realm of science and innovation and how they are collaborating with Indian partners. 

The first session will focus on Key Enabling Technologies in the Netherlands and bilateral R&I cooperation with India, on March 26, 17.00-18.30:




Key enabling technologies (including IoT, Big data, Artificial Intelligence, and Quantum technology amongst others) will be the leading topic of discussion during the session. They are a central focus point in the Dutch mission driven innovation and top sector High Tech Systems & Materials and IT policy. The Indian government is fostering the country’s transformation into a digitally empowered society and knowledge driven economy.

“Digital Key Enabling Technologies” are also important in the bilateral research and innovation agenda between India and the Netherlands. Two call for proposals have been organized on ‘Big Data and IoT’ between the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) and the Ministry of Electronics & IT (Meity) where several projects have been co-funded.

Under the Eureka framework, the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) and the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO) announced a Global Stars call for proposals last year on the topic ‘key enabling technologies’ for applications in Agriculture, Water and Health where multiple projects will be co-funded.
