Kobe-Barcelona Sister Cities

Kobe and Barcelona signed an agreement to become sister cities in 1993 since they share characteristics such as population size and being port cities. In 2016-2020, Kobe worked together with Barcelona, which is a leading city for open data utilization and open government, towards open data visualization by holding workshops and study tours called “WORLD DATA VIZ CHALLENGE.”
