MINIMUM CONDITIONS REQUIRED FOR THE PARTICIPATION IN THE EXAM

  1. Master Diploma (within Environmental Sciences domain)
  2. PhD Student within Environmental Sciences, Geography or other equivalent domain, with the topic of the PhD thesis related to urban sustainability, nature-based solutions in human settlements or urban resilience

 

TOPICS REQUIRED FOR THE PRACTICAL TEST FOR THE POSITION OF RESEARCH ASSISTANT AT THE CENTRE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH AND IMPACT STUDIES

  1. Categories of nature-based solutions
  2. Urban sustainability and resilience – concepts
  3. Representative criteria for assessing the nature-based solutions
  4. Environmental Impact Assessment for different urban land-uses
  5. Factors causing conflicts within human settlements
  6. Statistical methods for assessing the environmental quality (testing differences, parametric and non-parametric correlations, linear regression, logistic regression, MCA, SOM)
  7. Using GIS techniques in assessing the nature-based solutions (integrated geospatial databases, kriging, buffer, thematic grids, spatial analyses)

 

THE CONTENT OF THE PROJECT REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION OF RESEARCH ASSISTANT AT THE CENTRE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH AND IMPACT STUDIES

  1. Assessing the factors which influence cities’ resilience and sustainability
  2. Assessing and delineating categories of nature-based solutions specific to Romania’s cities
  3. Assessing the contribution of nature-based solutions in increasing the urban sustainability and resilience
  4. Assessing the integration of the nature based solutions in the environmental (and related domains) European and national policies and strategies
